Description

1879 10C F-102a, R.4, MS66+ NGC. This die pair was previously used for proof coinage, and much of that field reflectivity remains on this piece, accented with lavender, gold, and sea-green toning in varying degrees. The upper left portion of the wreath is a trifle soft, but the strike is otherwise pleasing. Census: 48 in 66 (4 in 66+, 5 in 66 ), 41 finer (7/19).
