Description

1892-S Barber Dime, Toned MS65
First Year of Issue

1892-S 10C MS65 PCGS. Ex: Law. Though first-year examples of any given series traditionally have a high survival rate, the combination of an unpopular design and a low-mintage West Coast issue means that the 1892-S is a condition rarity in MS65 and above. This Gem example is attractively lustrous beneath rich blue-green and rose-gold toning. Population: 14 in 65, 5 finer (7/19).
From The Mark Miller Registry Set of Barber Dimes / Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 5/2009), lot 452.
From The Poulos Family Collection, Part II. (Registry values: N1793)
