1814 Plain 4 S-295 Cent, MS62 Brown
Extremely Late Die State
1814 1C Plain 4, S-295, B-2, R.1, MS62 Brown NGC. Breen Die
State XIII-XIV (a holder tab covers the location of the
differentiating rim break between these latest two die states).
Both dies are severely deteriorated. The strike is nonetheless
well-centered and sharp on the central devices. Both display
problem-free, glossy surfaces with medium burgundy-brown luster. No
bothersome abrasions are present. Our EAC grade MS60.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 224Y, Variety PCGS# 36517, Base PCGS# 1576, Greysheet# 80084)
