1938 10C PR68 NGC. Ex: M.L. Middleton Collection. After the revival of proof sets in 1936, such pieces enjoyed continually increasing popularity until the wartime cancellation of the program in 1942. This decisively struck 1938 piece offers gleaming surfaces beneath a thin veneer of silver-gray, turquoise, and gold patina.
