1875-S Trade Dollar, MS64
Frosty, Radiant Luster
1875-S T$1 Type One Reverse MS64 PCGS. CAC. Large S. The
vibrancy of the luster on this frosty Trade dollar type coin is
incredible, cartwheeling around each side essentially untoned and
uninterrupted by major abrasions -- only a suggestion of light
champagne color emerges from the peripheries. This piece shows
considerable weakness along the upper obverse periphery and on the
eagle's right (facing) leg, but the clean surfaces and radiant
luster balance the eye appeal. PCGS lists 42 finer representatives
(9/15).Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2536, Variety PCGS# 510101, Base PCGS# 7039)
