1852 $5 MS62 NGC. The 1852 half eagle is far scarcer in Mint State than its mintage of more than 573,000 coins would suggest. This MS62 piece is sharply detailed and displays surprisingly smooth rose-gold surfaces with only light field marks to limit the grade. Finer representatives are rare.
