Description
1964-D Kennedy Half, MS64
on a Jefferson Nickel Planchet
1964-D 50C Kennedy Half -- Struck on a Five Cent Planchet --
MS64 PCGS. Though the date is off the flan, we know it must be
1964, since the Denver mintmark is present near the branch stem.
Mintmarks were absent between 1965 and 1967, and moved to the
obverse beginning in 1968. A second mint error, a retained
lamination, overlaps the arrowheads. Struck aligned with the collar
at 12:30; all of UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is absent. Lustrous and
smooth with pastel almond-gold and steel-gray toning.
