1856 1C Slanted 5 MS64 Brown PCGS. N-18, R.1. Die lines (as made) through TY in LIBERTY verify the die marriage. Traces of original red color lurk in recessed areas, especially on the reverse. A couple of the upper obverse stars are not completely struck, but the surfaces are exceptionally preserved. Population: 11 in 64 for all Slanted 5 varieties, with 1 finer (1/03).From the Stephen and Dianne Stokely Collection.
