1855-S $20 AU58 NGC. CAC. Variety 14B. Ex: S.S. Republic. Small or Medium S, both names refer to the same mintmark size. Variety 14B is the Faint S variety per S.S. Central America nomenclature, though the present lot came from the a different famous shipwreck. This well struck butter-gold example has pleasing luster extent and is without any noticeable marks.(Registry values: N1793)
