1805 JR-2 Dime, MS64+
Four Berries Reverse

1805 10C 4 Berries, JR-2, R.2, MS64+ PCGS. CAC. A glance at the olive branch on the reverse will quickly identify the two known varieties of 1805 dimes. The scarce JR-1 dime has five berries while the plentiful JR-2 has four berries. The obverse exhibits light clash marks with a fine die crack through ERT. The rotated reverse, turned about 30° clockwise, also exhibits light clash marks. This lovely near-Gem exhibits a bold strike with exquisite hair details on the obverse, and bold feather details on the eagle. Wispy rose, gold, and blue toning enhances the eye appeal. Population: 29 in 64 (2 in 64+), 23 finer (11/15).
