1854-S $10 AU55 NGC. The 1854-S eagle is a major rarity in Uncirculated condition, making alternatives such as this Select AU example more appealing to many collectors. This example is moderately abraded but displays attractive apricot-gold color and ample remaining mint luster. Evidence of a strong strike is obvious, but a bit softened by brief circulation.From Christopher Bently's Nob Hill Collection.(Registry values: N1793)
