1976 National Bicentennial Gold Medal, Median Diameter,
Swoger-52IC, PR68 Ultra Cameo NGC. 34 mm. 40.48 grams. 1.17
troy ounces AGW. Designed by Chief Engraver Frank Gasparro. The
U.S. Mint celebrated the nation's bicentennial by issuing medals
with identical designs in various diameters of gold, silver, and
bronze. Swoger-52IC the middle gold variety between the large
diameter (76 mm) Swoger-52IAa and the small diameter (23 mm)
Swoger-52ID. Swoger-52IC has a mintage of just 5,383 pieces, and
many have likely been melted during the nearly half century since
issue. A nearly flawless specimen with radiant motifs and
