1849 G$1 Closed Wreath MS63 PCGS. Breen-6005. The "Heavy Date" variety, likely from a deep hubbing of the working reverse die. The 1849 Closed Wreath gold dollars are scarcer than their Open Wreath counterparts. This Select example displays several shades of gold, orange, and green along with nicely defined design elements. A small spot appears at the top of Liberty's beaded tiara and a few marks appear in her hair. Housed in a green label holder. Population: 60 in 63 (1 in 63+), 62 finer (5/13).(Registry values: P4)
