Description

1928 Peace Dollar, Mint-Fresh Gem
Prized Series Key Issue

1928 $1 MS65 PCGS. A hint of daisy-yellow toning visits this coruscating and nicely preserved Peace dollar. The centers show only minor strike weakness, a common trait for the issue. The 1928 has well under half the mintage of any other regular issue in the series, and it has long been prized, particularly in such exemplary Gem quality. With the few finer-graded pieces closely held, it represents perhaps the most viable opportunity for advanced collectors to add to their holdings. From the #5 NGC Registry Set of Peace dollars, circulation issue (all coins). PCGS reports just 17 numerically finer examples (10/17).
