This sharply struck apricot-gold Select half eagle is uncommonly unabraded for its designated grade. The 1878 is very scarce in the present quality, since high mintages of the Motto type began in 1880. Population: 33 in 63 (2 in 63+), 29 finer (11/18).(Registry values: P3)
