Condition Rarity 1893-S Dime With Original Toning
1893-S 10C MS65 PCGS. This second-year example from the San Francisco Mint displays a richly toned, antique-copper, russet, and blue-gray obverse. The reverse, while equally original, is toned in softer silver-gray shades with streaks of russet color intermingled throughout. Fully brought up in all areas, there are no abrasions that would call into question the MS65 designation. A conditionally rare offering despite a not insignificant mintage of 2.4 million pieces. Population: 5 in 65, with just one finer (11/01).Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23DS, PCGS# 4802, Greysheet# 4350)
