Premium Gem VAM-21
1878 8TF $1 MS66 PCGS. VAM-21. This magnificent silver
dollar has peach-red borders and brilliant centers. Sharply struck
and lustrous with nearly pristine surfaces. Both sides are nicely
die doubled, as often seen on 8TF dollars. VAM-21 is known as the
Doubled R & B variety due to the unusual appearance of those
letters within PLURIBUS. Population: 34 in 66 (1 in 66+), 2 finer
(11/12).(Registry values: P5, N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 253H, PCGS# 7072, Greysheet# 7444)
