7 Tailfeathers, Scarcer Reverse of 1879
1878 7TF $1 Reverse of 1879 MS66 NGC. The 1878 Morgan dollar
with the 7 Tail Feathers reverse is known in two distinct die
varieties. The Reverse of 1879 is identified by the slanting top
feather in the arrow fletching, and is much more difficult to
locate than the Reverse of 1878, with parallel arrow feathers. This
spectacular Premium Gem is sharply detailed throughout, and the
well-preserved surfaces show a mix of frosty mint luster and
