1877-S $20 MS62 NGC. This Uncirculated 1877-S double eagle is near the top end of what can be considered affordable, as finer coins are rarely seen. The strike is sharp, and the yellow-gold surfaces display radiant satin luster. Light, scattered abrasions on the obverse preclude a finer grade. NGC has seen nine numerically finer submissions (6/16).(Registry values: N2998)
