Description

1915 British Lusitania Medal MS60 Spots Uncertified. The Lusitania was a British passenger ship that also carried munitions. It was sunk by the Germans, with great loss of life. German medalist Karl Goetz created the original gruesome medal. The designs were copied by the British for propaganda purposes, with MAI modified to MAY. This piece is as made aside from a few copper-red spots. It is accompanied by its tattered cardboard box of issue.
