1918 Cent Struck Nine Times, Fine 15
1918 1C Lincoln Cent--Struck Nine Times--Fine 15 ANACS. The lower obverse shows numerous bust truncations, and the upper reverse has multiple impressions of PLURIBUS, each from a different strike. The first strike was apparently normal, but the piece failed to eject from the dies. Instead, it rotated slightly clockwise between strikes, and also gradually moved off center toward 1 o'clock. This problem-free chocolate-brown mint error was likely a pocket piece for its lucky finder.Auction Info
