Desirable Choice AU Multiple-Strike Steel Cent
Undated (1943) Steel Cent--Struck Twice, Second Strike 45% Off-Center--AU55 PCGS. The first strike on this steel cent was centered, but the piece failed to clear the dies, and it received a second blow approximately halfway off-center to the south, obscuring the date and mintmark area. Generally steel-gray with a degree of discoloration on the reverse. Steel cent errors are highly prized by collectors due to their status as one-year-only coins.
