Description

1921-S Buffalo Nickel, MS65
Highly Lustrous and Attractively Toned

1921-S 5C MS65 PCGS. CAC. Vibrant luster is a major attribute of this attractive Gem. Although the strike is somewhat weak, this well-preserved coin displays great color, including intermingled shades of pastel mint-green, pale gold, and ice-blue on each side, with the reverse also revealing splashes of rose-gold. A small diagonal charcoal-colored planchet flaw appears at the top of the Indian's head, but there are few signs of contact. A key issue in the series, seldom seen technically finer. Population: 60 in 65, 8 finer (8/13).(Registry values: N2998)
