Description
Important 1927-D Mercury Dime From the Jay Eisenberg Collection
1927-D 10C MS65 Full Bands PCGS. The distracting and grade-limiting striking incompleteness that often plagues the highpoints of Liberty's hair, the fasces, and the reverse periphery of 1927-D Dimes is conspicuously absent on this lovely Gem. Beautifully frosted with blushes of champagne-gold iridescence, we also note a few swirls of russet color at the upper obverse border. There is not a single abrasion that would cause one to question the MS65 designation. At this level of preservation, the 1927-D is now considered to be equally as rare as the 1925-D. Population: only 12 in 65 Full Bands, 7 are finer (1/03).From the Jay Eisenberg Collection.
