1799 $10 Large Stars Obverse -- Damage -- PCGS Genuine. AU Details. BD-10, R.3. Bass-Dannreuther Die State a/a. Fine microporosity occurs on each side of this piece, but there are no mentionable marks and the eye appeal is considerable, the yellow-gold surfaces reflective on each side underneath what mostly appears to be light field chatter. A hazy slate-gray bit of patina appears around stars 6-8 at the rim on the obverse. The reverse shows less of the fine porosity. This piece may pose a great opportunity for type collectors.
