1838 P50C Half Dollar, Judd-73 Restrike, Pollock-77, R.5, PR64 Cameo PCGS. The obverse depicts a draped bust of Liberty facing left with thirteen stars around the periphery and the date below. Liberty is wearing a diadem and the scroll over her hair is inscribed with LIBERTY. A flying eagle facing left dominates the reverse. The legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and the denomination HALF DOLLAR are around the periphery. Struck in silver with a reeded edge and medallic alignment of the dies. The high points are typically struck for this restrike issue, and a trio of spindly die cracks wander across the reverse. The lightly abraded fields offer medium golden-brown patina.
