Colorful Full Bands Superb Gem 1941-D Mercury Dime
1941-D 10C MS68 Full Bands PCGS. Sometimes "deep toning" does not necessarily mean attractive toning. Not so for this spectacular coin, one of only fifteen examples graded as MS68 Full Bands by NGC and PCGS combined, with none finer at either service (4/03). The variegated yellow, crimson, orange, and green obverse colors surround a steel-blue center, while the reverse is primarily a delicate rose-gray shade. Razor-sharp in terms of strike, both sides are also free of distracting marks. Intensely lustrous, the surfaces have the look of numismatic perfection. We highly recommend that Mercury dime specialists enter carefully considered bids when this coin crosses the auction block. From the Stephen and Dianne Stokely Collection.
