Description
Amazing PR68 1913 Barber Quarter
1913 25C PR68 NGC. This is an absolutely stunning example of the date, and it is important not only for its high quality and amazing eye appeal, but also for the rarity of the associated business strike examples. While the 1913 Philadelphia Mint quarters are certainly not as rare as the San Francisco Mint coins of the same date, they are substantially rarer than common date pieces. This gorgeous Superb Gem example has excellent Cameo contrast, although it is not designated as a Cameo proof. The contrast between the fields and devices is subdued by intense rainbow toning, consisting of concentric rings of color. Census: 4 in 68, 1 finer (10/06).(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 242V, PCGS# 5699, Greysheet# 5524)
Weight: 6.25 grams
