Description

Gem (MS66) 1878-CC Morgan Dollar Condition Rarity

1878-CC $1 MS66 PCGS. The vast majority of extant 1878-CC Morgan Dollars are Mint State. Another feature that most survivors of this issue have in common is a plethora of distracting, grade-limiting abrasions. Not so the present Gem. The fully frosted surfaces are devoid of even a single noteworthy blemish. The full strike is all that one would expect for the issue. Blushes of delicate golden tinting are noted on the obverse, as is a swath of more vivid orange-gold and lilac iridescence over the upper right reverse.
