Description
Conditionally Elusive Premium Gem 1934-D Buffalo Nickel
1934-D 5C MS66 PCGS. One of the better known strike rarities in the Buffalo nickel series, this issue is part of the 1930-38 Short Set. Very few sharply struck Gem or better examples have been certified by either of the major services, and it seems that this issue's semi-key status is now well assured. This is a generally well defined coin (except for parts of the bison), that has bright satiny luster and is lightly and attractively toned on each side. As expected for a Premium Gem, there are very few surface marks, and none are serious. Population: 32 in 66, 0 finer (10/05).Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22SM, PCGS# 3973, Greysheet# 3138)
Weight: 5.00 grams
Metal: 75% Copper, 25% Nickel
