Description
Uncirculated 1893-O Morgan Dollar, One of Only 300,000 Pieces Struck
1893-O $1 MS62 PCGS. This is a very challenging date to find with any degree of eye appeal and technical quality. The limited original mintage of 300,000 pieces is partly to blame, but sloppy workmanship by the staff in New Orleans is probably the most important culprit. This BU representative is lightly struck over the central highpoints with definition that sharpens more or less toward the peripheries. Both sides are untoned, or essentially so, with a smattering of light-to-moderate abrasions limiting the grade. The always-popular '93-O was produced in fewer numbers than any other Morgan Dollar from the New Orleans Mint. From the CEO PCGS Morgan Dollar Registry Set.
