1842-O $2 1/2 XF45 NGC. The moderately abraded surfaces are green-gold in color. The devices are quite well impressed for the New Orleans Mint and the wear is confined only to the highest points of the design. One of a mere 19,800 pieces produced and seldom offered any finer. Population: 17 in 45, 40 finer (7/03).Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25GK, PCGS# 7726, Greysheet# 8340)
