Description

1867 XF 45 Liberty Ten Dollar

1867 XF 45 PCGS. A very rare Philadelphia ten with only 3,090 business strikes produced. The 1867 nearly always tops out at the XF level, the median grade among the few dozen survivors. This piece is well struck in general with slightly better definition on the reverse and traces of hidden prooflikeness. There are a couple darker depressions, probably mint caused, just below Liberty's temple. The obverse of the slab is slightly cracked over the lower portion of the coin.
