Description

Lustrous MS 64 1874 Ten Dollar--Tied For Second Finest Certified

1874 MS 64 PCGS. While not as difficult a P-mint as in preceding years, the '74-P is a very challenging condition rarity with most of the known mint state examples being bagmarked MS 60-61 pieces. This is a sharply struck piece whose thick mint luster glows over each side and is interrupted by only the slightest abrasions. A considerable coin for the advanced gold collector. Population: 12 in 64, only 1 finer (5/98).

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2657, PCGS# 8669, Greysheet# 9395)
