Description

1878-CC Fine 15 PCGS. With the second lowest mintage figure in the series of only 3,244 pieces, the 1878-CC is not surprisingly one of the rarest Carson City eagles. It, like many of its predecessors, is also known for poor striking details. This moderately worn example looks as though a VF rating could have been possible if not for bluntness on the highpoints and a couple of crisscrossing facial scratches.
