Description

1896 $10 MS63 NGC. This moderately scarce date, with a mintage of 76,348 pieces, becomes especially difficult in Near Gem and above. The MS63 specimen offered here reveals attractive greenish-gold patination and nearly full luster. The devices are generally well executed. Several minute bag marks on Liberty's cheek and neck, and in the fields of each side, limit the grade. Population: 125 in 63, 13 finer (5/05).
