Description
Spectacular Off Cent 1864 Bronze Indian Cent
1864 1C Bronze No L Indian cent--Struck 70% Off Center--MS63 Brown PCGS. Struck off center at 12 o'clock with all of the date, neck, and four diamonds visible, including the rounded bust point characteristic of the No L variety. Adding to the intrigue of this error, the reverse die was rotated nearly 90 degrees counterclockwise, providing a fascinating effect when the coin is turned. This is a splendid example with considerable orange mint luster remaining on the struck portion. From The Larry Rausch Collection.(#2076) (Registry values: N491)
