First Strike Broadstruck
Reverse Brockage and Indent
1964 50C Kennedy Half Dollar -- Double Struck, Broadstrike,
Second Strike Off Center with Brockage & Indent Reverse -- MS65
NGC. The planchet is greatly enlarged from the first die
impression, which is the broadstrike, with a long radial break at
9:30 relative to the obverse. The second strike is off center
toward 6 o'clock, with only about half of Kennedy's portrait on the
flan. Olive-gold toning covers each side. A visually impressive
Mint error.
