1870 Liberty Round Quarter, MS61
Rare BG-836 Variety
One of Three Pieces Certified
1870 25C Liberty Round 25 Cents, BG-836, High R.7, MS61 NGC.
A very rare variety, with the date on the obverse and berries in
the wreath on the reverse. PCGS states that only four pieces are
known, and that service has graded two: one AU58 and an MS61. This
is the only example at NGC, and is obviously tied with the finer
PCGS coin for finest known (2/21). An incredibly important
opportunity for the advanced California fractionals collectors.
