João V gold 800 Reis 1727-B AU58 NGC, Bahia mint, KM123, LMB-88. Second shield type. An elusive type, of which we were only able to locate a handful sold in the last two decades. Borderline Mint State with crisp devices and shades of luster to the toned flan, it stands as the sole finest certified by either NGC or PCGS, with the RLM example (a mere Fine Details) hammering $4,250 (Heritage #3024, April 2013, Lot 23190).Metal: Gold
