MS64 Red and Brown, FS-101
1955 1C Doubled Die Obverse MS64 Red and Brown NGC. FS-101.
Remarkable and consistent obverse die doubling is the hallmark of
this famous Guide Book variety. Most '55 doubled die cents
are brown, even among Uncirculated examples. However, the present
lustrous near-Gem displays substantial fire-red, albeit blended
with olive-green hues. A lens reveals only incidental
