Lustrous 1883-S Morgan Dollar, MS64
1883-S $1 MS64 PCGS. Light pearl-gray toning graces this highly lustrous and exactingly struck near-Gem. The portrait and reverse are beautifully preserved, and the obverse field has only minor marks. Unlike the 1878 to 1882 San Francisco issues, the 1883-S is scarce in Mint State and rare in Gem condition. PCGS has only certified 18 finer examples (4/09).(Registry values: P7, N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 254K, PCGS# 7148, Greysheet# 7522)
