1859 $1 MS64 NGC. CAC. This Philadelphia issue gave the Seated dollar series its first six-figure mintage since 1847, and examples are available for a price in most grades, though that availability dries up swiftly beyond the Select designation. This attractive Choice piece is well-defined save for trifling softness on a few of the obverse stars. Strongly lustrous with splashes of gold and orange toning close to the rims.
