Description

Lustrous 1927-S Dollar, MS65

1927-S $1 MS65 NGC. The 1927-S is common through the MS64 level, as evident from the large number graded by NGC and PCGS. The Gem population shrinks, and higher-grade pieces are virtually unobtainable. Splashes of faint gold color make occasional visits to the lustrous surfaces of this attractive MS65 specimen. The design elements are better struck than usually seen. Light marks are noted on the obverse, including a couple of hair-thin ones in the upper left field. Census: 69 in 65, 1 finer (8/09).(Registry values: N4719)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 257U, PCGS# 7372, Greysheet# 7908)
