Description

Newfoundland, 1865 1 Cent MS65 Red PCGS. Lovely golden-orange patina with an average strike and interesting re-cutting on the 6 of the date. Newfoundland copper in Gem Red Uncirculated condition is quite rare and visually pleasing. Very few dates exist at this level, and bidding will undoubtedly be fierce for this superior example. A total of only four pieces have been certified as Gem Mint State Red by PCGS, with none finer.
