Choice AU 1851-D Two and a Half
1851-D $2 1/2 AU55 NGC. Variety 14-M. A satiny Choice AU rare date Dahlonega example. The green-gold fields are free from consequential contact. The eagle's left (facing) leg is softly brought up, as usual for the mint and denomination. A scant 11,264 pieces were produced. Census: 15 in 55, 18 finer (9/08).(Registry values: P2)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25HN, PCGS# 7761, Greysheet# 8366)
