Description
1817 1C 13 Stars MS61 Brown NGC. N-2, R.3. Our EAC Grade AU55. Ex: Mervis Collection. This middle die state specimen has a light radial crack through the first S, with a continuation to the wreath. No obverse die cracks are evident. Traces of faded mint color are evident on dark olive and steel surfaces. A small spot resides near the chin and a tiny planchet chip is noted below star 13. This lovely example falls at the low end of the Condition Census.From The Adam Mervis Large Cent Collection.
