Description
Zacatecas. Ferdinand VII "Royalist" 2 Reales 1811 VF Details (Cleaned) PCGS, Zacatecas mint, KM187, Cal-997, Ramirez-Z2.1.2b. LVO type 2, Castles and lions, open legend variety.Royalists initiated coin minting in Zacatecas on 1810, with production taken by insurgents on short-lived moments. During their brief control of Zacatecas, the insurgents issued 1810 and 1811 coins with the same motifs used by the Royalists, but struck with considerably cruder dies displaying minimal alterations.
