Edward VIII bronze "Coronation" Medal 1936 MS65 Brown NGC, BHM-4286, Giordano-CM215a. 57mm. By E. Carter Preston. Struck in anticipation of Edward VIII's 1937 Coronation. The reverse depicts Britannia seated beside a helmet, holding a crown with a dove perched atop, an olive branch in its mouth. Restrikes of this medal exist, struck in 1986 from original dies, but can be easily differentiated as they're lacquered.
