Gelderland. Provincial "Campen" Lion Daalder 1617 Genuine NGC, KM15.2, Dav-4849. Salvaged from the "Campen" (sunk in 1627 off Middle Needle, Isle of Wight, The UK).

In October 1627, the Dutch East Indiaman Campen sank near the Isle of Wight after striking a rock while seeking refuge from a storm. All 160 crew members survived, but only a small portion of its valuable cargo, including silver coins and lead ingots, was salvaged at the time. In 1979, divers rediscovered the wreck, recovering around 8,000 silver coins and other artifacts.
